Ajahn Sona | Metta Convention (30 September 1:30pm – 2:30 pm, AEST, Australia)

Mettā Convention is a week-long transformative week of meditation, teachings, discussions, community dinner, and activities with renowned Buddhist teachers from around the world! The Mettā Convention brings together leading Buddhist teachers from different traditions who will explore topics relevant to modern living and deepening our spiritual practice. Featured presenters include Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, Ven Thubten Chodron, Ven Karma Lekshe Tsomo, and Ajahn Sona.
This free event will be held at the Western Sydney University, Bankstown City Campus. It is open to the general public, Buddhist and meditation practitioners of all levels who are seeking to enrich their practice and engage with like-minded individuals in a supportive and inspiring environment. This is a unique opportunity to connect with teachers from around the world and deepen your spiritual practice.

The Mettā Convention program includes the following programs (Ajahn Sona will be participating in two events which are highlighted below):

Buddhist Bowl Trivia with Bhante Sujato (joining us in person) & Ajahn Brahmali (joining us online). This will be a hybrid event.
Tue 26 Sep 7pm – 8:30pm
An Evening with Buddhist Master Chao Khun Kheng (joining us online). This will be a hybrid event.
Wed 27 Sep 7pm – 8:30pm
Haiku Poetry Event with Ven BomHyon Sunim (joining us in person). This will be a hybrid event.
Thu 28 Sep 7pm – 9pm
Special Q&A with Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo followed by Tibetan Buddhist practices with Dr. Pema Düddul and Ven Tashi Choedup (joining us online). This will be a hybrid event.
Fri 29 Sep 7pm
Community Cultural Dinner. This will be an in person only event.
